What is "Impact Health"? And Will it Liberate Health Care?
An interview with founder, Mark Aubry
The last few years have seen a surge in interest in the Private Membership Association (PMA) model of doing business, as a way to operate free from the control of statutory regulations and other state infringements on our right to contract. Many health professionals are already operating under PMAs, and many more would like to, but the complexity of setting up a PMA can be daunting.
Impact Health provides a solution. The organization - itself a PMA - sets up PMAs for the practitioners it works with. This is a huge step forward for those in healthcare who are wanting to practice in the private, but may not have the expertise, or the time to gain the expertise, to set up their own PMAs.
In this episode, I speak with Impact Health’s founder, Mark Aubry, about his vision for the new health care economy, and about Impact Health’s role in it. We also go over some of the nuts and bolts of how Impact Health operates, both for providers and for members.

I help my wife with the business side of her acupuncture practice. She has talked about potentially setting up a PMA. I would need to understand the bookkeeping and accounting of it versus how we're doing books now. She would have to understand what that would mean for her licensing and potential liability, and patient relationships, etc.
