“Our problems are not caused by our flawed nature, but by flawed institutions."

The institutions are not flawed. They work as their designers intended them to work.

Thank you for this essay.

We are all products of the society from which we come, and the institutions that mold and shape society. These institutions include the media and educational system. When deviant behaviors are normal in a society, they become normalized in children's minds. If cannibalism is normal in a society, you will be a cannibal.

Sure. But the question is: How does a once-relatively-civilized society become one in which behaviors like cannibalism are normalized? I think you will find that the answer has a great deal to do with pockets of unaccountability.

Yes, 100% agreed.

You are welcome!

Perfect analysis and we'll articulated. Ephesians 6:12-17 reminds us that "We are not contending against flesh and blood, but against the rulers against the authorities against the powers of this dark world against a spiritual hosts of wickedness...". This has become so apparently spiritual. Thank you for speaking light into darkness.

Bullseye.

American liberty is freedom plus morality grounded in reverence for lives lived in accordance with natural law; freedom is liberty only when American citizens contain evil as defined by that morality, in both politics and economics. There’s no magic in that; people must act. The trick is to encourage sufficient bright exemplars to keep the balance tilted toward liberty and not toward the tyranny of brilliant narcissistic sociopaths and psychopaths. Are there sufficient bright exemplars to balance the bad actors who are clearly in power today? Are we rewarding the bright exemplars, or the brilliant narcissistic sociopaths and psychopaths?

And without accountability or respect for citizen sovereignty in suffrage, how are we to triumph peacefully over the brilliant narcissistic sociopaths and psychopaths? Is the old saw about voting your way in, and shooting your way out peeking over the horizon?

By hook or by crook we must first dismantle empire, shrink the state, so that the megalomaniacs, sociopaths and psychopaths that feed on illicit power will lose influence and perhaps even interest; then and only then can you have a real “America First”.
