All I Have to Say About Thomas Massie

I’ll make this quick. And I know I’ll lose some subscribers over this. To them, I’ll just say: Thanks for staying as long as you did, and be well.

1. We are not going to vote our way out of the mess this country is in. If you’ve been following me for any length of time, you already know I believe this. If not, here’s why;

2. That doesn’t mean that nothing at all can be accomplished through the broken tool of representative democracy. It doesn’t mean that it cannot be used at all to protect our rights in some ways;

3. Thomas Massie is about the only person within this system who is using it for this purpose. He’s done quite a lot, but primarily, and I think most significantly at this moment in time, he has helped enormously to reveal the nature of this system and how it functions;

4. Please support him in any way that you can. If you live in his district, please vote for him, if not, please contribute to his campaign. (I almost prefaced this with something like “if you care about liberty, and protecting our individual rights…” but if you don’t care about these things, then I’m not sure why you’re reading my Substack.);

5. This primary election truly is a referendum on the question of whether there can be meaningful opposition within this country’s government;

6. This is not just about Kentucky.
